Who we are

This website is run by MYS Designs & Collectives Ltd, trading as MYS Designs, a brand identity studio based in Manchester, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

If you have any question about this policy or your data, email worktogether@mysdesigns.co.uk.

What we collect

Information you give us: your name, email address, company name, website and anything you include when you email us or book a call.

Booking information: when you book a discovery call through Calendly, Calendly collects the details on its booking form and shares them with us.

Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider records basic server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics on this site.

How we use it

We use your information to reply to enquiries, prepare for and run discovery calls, send proposals, deliver projects and keep the records we are required to keep by law.

Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, performing a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and promoting the studio, and complying with legal obligations such as tax records.

We do not sell your personal data.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of providers to run the studio. These include Vercel (website hosting), Calendly (call booking), Google (email) and Fontshare and Google Fonts (website fonts, which receive your IP address when the page loads).

Some of these providers process data outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or adequacy regulations.

We may also share information with our accountants or professional advisers, or where the law requires it.

Cookies

This website does not set cookies for tracking or advertising. Your browser may store small technical items so the site works properly.

If you book a call, Calendly may set its own cookies. Its own policy explains how.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 24 months. Client and financial records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as UK tax law requires.

Your rights

You have the right to ask for a copy of your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to ask for it to be moved to another provider. Email us to make a request. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed.
